Continental Airlines

Continental Airlines is one of the airlines that operate domestic as well as international flights from United States. The airlines has its base at Houston in the state of Texas, US. Continental Airlines operates mainly from George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, in Cleveland, and Newark Liberty International Airport in Newark, New Jersey. Set up in then year 1934, under the name Varney Speed Lines, the airlines received its present name in the year 1937. During the World War II the airlines contributed to the United States Army Air Force. By 1950s the airlines experienced a vast expansion in its routes and in the year 1957, Continental Airlines flew flight for the first time from Chicago to Los Angeles and from Denver to Kansas City. The airlines continued its support to the United States Army during the Vietnam War with extensive cargo and troop transportation.
